Chapter members at hesitage festivalEach year members of the Manitou Bluffs Chapter of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation staff the Lewis and Clark outpost at the Columbia Heritage Festival.

wreath at base of monument The monument that President Thomas Jefferson designed for his grave is located on the quadrangle at the University of Missouri. The obelisk was moved to Missouri in recognition of Missouri as the first state in the Louisianna Purchase.

Each April Manitou Bluffs Chapter members place a wreath at the memorial on Jefferson's birthday. The state historical society which is located in Columbia has maps and documents of interest to those studying the Lewis and Clark Expedition. The University's Geographical Research Center uses computers to map the route of the expedition.

River Horse BoatRiver-Horse Boat and informational sign is located in the Village of Boone Junction in historic Nifong Park in Columbia, MO. The Village of Boone Junction is operated by the Boone County Historical Society.
